another update

I have been so absent on this blog lately. The past several weeks in derby can be summed up as follows:

• Spent a couple of days at the World of Wheels event smiling a lot and handing out flyers. We did little mini demos on a teeny tiny track
  
• Liquid band-aids rule
• I love love love scrimmaging!
  
• I've been skating with outdoor wheels (indoors) and I really like them. Nice and grippy.
  
• I really need new pads
• skating with the knee brace has been fine -- i hardly notice it now
• The Boston B Party had their first scrimmage against CT. Mr. Mayhem drove me and my sorry ass (and three other skaters) two and a half hours there and two and a half hours back, and spent the entire scrimmage cheering loudly and enthusiastically for us. He was basically our entire cheering section, and was greatly appreciated.
